For CardScan and Capitan el, our developers ran various tests with the latest Mac OSX Capitan el (10.11.5) and in many cases the CardScan (800c) device worked fine, but still it’s incredible. It’s not 100%. Below is a short guide on how to make it work.

Upgrade OSX directly to version 10.11.5. Of course
Make sure CardScan is running version 9.2 (you can download it here http://dymo .li/cs92mac)

Once launched and installed (if not already installed), launch the CardScan software and, if necessary, connect the scanner to the appropriate computer.

After a while, the scanner indicator turns gray and you can now scan a new business card with meaning.
If that doesn’t work, there are several workarounds that will allow you to stop using the software and contacts. The best are listed below:

Copy the CardScan databases to a USB drive, remembering to use the database on the righton a valid Windows machine

To use a database in the MAC, but not qualified to use scanning, run the task

Install Parallels ( parallels.com) or VirtualBox (virtualbox.org) and therefore run previous versions of OSX or under Windows in a virtual environment directly on the MAC.
